Racket? Check! In the Gastein Valley, tennis, golf and mini golf become special vacation experiences. The finest Alpine panorama is always there while playing tennis, on the 18-hole course at the Gastein Golf Club, the other courses in the area or a match on the Poser tennis court.

We like it wild: paragliding, the Flying Waters Zip Line, a helicopter flight or rafting in roaring mountain streams - look forward to vacation adventures and unique experiences in the air or on the water. Via ferratas and the Klammstein climbing garden also get the adrenaline pumping. On the other hand, panning for gold and archery are more relaxing.

Winter in Bad Gastein is simply a must for ski fans! The 15th Alpine World Ski Championships were held here back in 1958. 200 kilometers of pistes are waiting to be explored by you on skis or board in the Sportgastein ski area. You can find even more fun on the slopes in the Gastein Valley in the Graukogel ski area and the Schlossalm-Angertal-Stubnerkogel and Dorfgastein-Großartal ski areas. Gallant instead of fast: on the valley floor in Sportgastein at over 1,500 meters and the cross-country ski trails in Bad Gastein, Bad Hofgastein and Dorfgastein, you can glide leisurely through the winter wonderland. This paradise for cross-country skiers offers ideal conditions for short or long tours.

Fun comes on two runners on the toboggan run in Bad Gastein. Groomed toboggan runs start at the Bellevue Alm or the Schlossalm ("Aeroplan" natural toboggan run), enticing young and old alike to enjoy a speedy ride through the Alpine landscape.
You can experience a very special toboggan ride in Sportgastein. Instead of horses or reindeer, huskies are harnessed to the sledge. Nevertheless, you feel as happy as a child on Santa's sleigh.

You can also go hiking in winter! With good equipment and sunshine, there is hardly anything better! In Bad Gastein, more than 100 kilometers of groomed winter hiking trails invite you to winter adventures without skis. A special highlight is the summit breakfast in Sportgastein. Start the day with a guided hike and a gondola ride to the summit.

The colder it gets, the more there is to experience in Bad Gastein. The frozen waterfalls attract beginners and pros to guided ice climbing tours.
